Sara & Dane

What a wedding! These legends knew exactly what vibe they want for their wedding. And of course, it wouldn’t be an epic without the team of superstars list of vendors! Let’s get into it and hear from Sara and Dane!

How did you find the wedding planning process?

I’m sure like every couple, it was endless … always something to do. We had about 12 months to do the planning and we kept getting to points where we thought ‘most of it was done’ but then more things would pop up. Wedding inspo came mostly from Instagram with a little influence taken from what we’d seen work/not work at weddings we had been to in the past.

What were some of your favourite wedding details and why you chose them?

Sara included a stem of a particular flower in each bridesmaid’s bouquet that represented their individual friendship. And then Dane organized cufflinks for his groomsmen that reflected their personalities.

We love that weddings now are all about doing it however you want to and making it your day. Stand-out moments for us included reading our personalized vows and the vibe as we entered the Reception. Cocktail hour must have been a hit because the energy levels were high!

What were your thoughts when you watched your wedding film for the first time?

We absolutely loved it!!! You nailed the exact vibe we wanted, included all of the special parts, and brought back so many memories from the day that we had forgotten about. We were laughing and crying throughout the many times we watched it on repeat for the next few days.

Lets chat about your vendors, how did they all do?

Honestly, we had a team of superstars. So happy with our vendor choices. Our standouts were definitely you and Charlotte (our photographer). The energy that you both brought to the day and the portrait sessions was perfect. It’s always a risk teaming up with 2 people who haven’t worked together before but you guys hit it off straight away, got along, and worked well.

Casey, the venue coordinator, was also a champion. We bothered her with so many questions/emails, and small (probably insignificant) requests that she took on without hesitation and on the day, really adapted to whatever curveball was thrown her way.

What would you say to couples who are on the fence about booking a videographer for their wedding?

DO IT!!!! You honestly won’t regret it. Your videos had a unique way of capturing not only the romantic/sentimental parts of the day but also the fun and the energetic atmosphere that we had hoped for our day. And then your easy-going/organized communication style cemented our decision

Words of wisdom for future couples looking to create an epic wedding/elopement experience?

Write your own vows! We were nervous about doing this but reading them to eachother was one of our favourite parts, and our guests loved hearing them too.
