Wow, just wow! Sit back for one hell of a story my friends. The story of Emily and Zac is just a testament to what happens with a fun, persistent attitude, being intentional and specific with your vendors and focusing on the things that matter.

Another Above Below Visuals and Matt Ashton Photography combination which is most definitely why this day produced such amazing photos and videos, and allowed so much creativity and good vibes. It’s always a good time working with one of my favourite photographers, and in my opinion - one of the best in the industry.

Let’s get into it and hear from Emily and Zac!

How did you find the wedding planning process?

Wedding planning was really fun, we really enjoyed it. Emily is very decisive so she picked out what she wanted basically two weeks after we got engaged and the rest really just fell into place. We both decided we wanted a venue that was in Sydney but that felt intimate and magical and Athol Hall ticked all our boxes. We also really wanted our wedding to feel timeless and classic so we made lots of our decisions with that in mind.

What were some of your favourite wedding details and why you chose them?

The champagne tower was one of our favourite details of the wedding, it was so fun to pour and really set the mood for the evening. The florals were stunning and made the whole venue feel like magic.

What were your thoughts when you watched your wedding film(s) for the first time?

We absolutely adore our wedding film!!! It captures us perfectly! Its romantic, its funny and radiates happiness. We both sat down and watched it together and couldn’t wipe the smile of our faces. We love it so much!

Lets chat about your vendors, how did they all do?

Our vendors were all amazing, literally every single one of them! Our videographer, Above Below Visuals captures us so perfectly I can’t even explain how! Our teaser film and wedding films were just ‘us’. Tim and matt made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They worked so well together! Our florals, Petals by Us answered every one of our questions and our styling, Elements for Hire was so easy to communicate with. Hair and Makeup by Grace Roby and Ash Quinn were absolutely stunning, we couldn’t of asked for a better team!

What would you say to couples who are on the fence about booking a videographer for their wedding?

It’s the best money you’ll ever spend and you won’t regret it! Who wouldn’t want a film that shows their love story and wedding day. I’m so glad we have a beautiful video to look back on for the rest of our lives!
