Scotty & Georgia

When Georgia and Scotty enquired with me, they were super clear with what they wanted ‘Nothing traditional like a normal wedding film, we want a hollywood style film with visuals telling the story only. Our love story, that’s us’. I’m a storyteller through and through and jumped at the chance to create Georgia and Scotty’s story! I knew I had to step it up without the use of audio, and I took inspiration through Scotty’s personal favourites - La La Land, A Star is Born, The Great Gasby - basically anything Baz Luhrmann.

Creating this film meant I wanted to introduce sequences within sequences with varying elements of music genres and visual storytelling - let me know how you think I did?

Let’s get into it and hear from Georgia & Scotty!

How did you find the wedding planning process?

The prep was mixed emotions.. we were excited but on a personal note we were always working through family sickness of a loved one so our attention was not ever fully focussed. However through the tricky times, we found a lot of comfort and guidance from all our vendors. Everyone’s experience and vision to make our day special really helped us in the lead up. We passed on our vision and then really gave that vision over to the vendors to execute... it was incredible and could not have done it without everyone!

What were some of your favourite wedding details and why you chose them?

We wanted a party relaxed day... disco balls, colour, brightness and fun!! these elements set the tone for the rest of the day!

What were your thoughts when you watched your wedding film for the first time?

First thoughts was perfection!!! It really told a story of the day and those special moments was captured perfectly. I loved the transitions into parts of the evening and the main thing is including our friends and family in the video... that’s what the wedding was all about... them and us!

Let’s chat about your vendors, how did they all do?

Incredibly!! could not have made his day happen without all of them given what we were going through.... all individually executed exactly how we wanted it to!

What would you say to couples who are on the fence about booking a videographer for their wedding?

Do it!! It's another element of the day and perspective that from our point view we don't get to see on the actual day. It tells a story that you can show loved ones that weren't able to make it!

Words of wisdom for future couples looking to create an epic wedding/elopement experience?

Live, laugh, love.... LOL!

Only that friends and family are the most important... enjoy the small moments, they are the memories you remember!
