Okay my friends, if you’ve watched this epic wedding film then you already have a pretty good idea of just how much fun this wedding was. It’ll be hard to beat a wild love story like this!

After a few false starts thanks to Mrs Rona, Vetty & Blake finally got hitched in February 2022 - and with a focus on fun, this day was literally the epic party they dreamed of!

How did you find the wedding planning process?

The lead up to the wedding was a bloody nightmare! Our original plan of a NZ wedding was stopped in its tracks thanks to the rona. What a mess but we got there in the end after planning a wedding in 10 weeks! We wanted our wedding to be “simple yet elegant and fun”. We got a lot of inspiration from Instagram & Pinterest. Overall our vendors helped make the planning so easy!

What were some of your favourite wedding details and why you chose them?

We chose our venue because of all the details Sarah had thought of! The lounge area, the outdoor area with furniture, the bathrooms that had EVERYTHING you could think of in them, the decor - the details were endless & made our wedding what it was.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Vetty says - I was so shocked and surprised that the wedding actually went ahead. No more postponements, no cancellations, it actually happened!

Blake says - I knew the day was going to be good but it was better than I could ever imagine. Everything came together so well. I had so much fun!

What were your thoughts when you watched your wedding film(s) for the first time?

We were blown away by our teaser so we were literally speechless when we saw our wedding film. Tears upon tears from Vetty. We felt so much love watching it for the first time, realising we have this forever. So much was covered that we forgot even happened. It was like somehow reliving our day. It couldn’t be anymore special than that.

Lets chat about your vendors, how did they all do?

Every single vendor we had knocked it out of the park! The Vinegrove was our venue & holy moly did it set the tone for the day. It was magic the first time we laid eyes on it, and our day it was somehow 9383738 times better.

The Colourful Celebrant (Brad) kicked our day off on such a high with his vibrant personality, making our ceremony the best we’ve been to and so many of our guests said the same. Brad is a bloody superstar.

Obviously, we had the best videographer out there! We can’t speak highly enough of Tim from Above Below Visuals. If you’re on the fence about getting a video, get off the fence, contact Tim & book him in! We’ve been given a video that we watch multiple times a week, that we’ll have for the rest of our lives & that Vetty’s overseas family can watch & feel like they were there, how special is that?!

The legend himself, Alex from Third Wheelin’ Co was our photographer & he was just as epic as our videographer. They made a great team. Alex’s work is out of this world & his creativity is next level.

What would you say to couples who are on the fence about booking a videographer for their wedding?

Get off the f***ing fence & book Above Below Visuals to film your wedding! There is nothing to be on the fence about, I promise you it is the BEST investment you will make. You will not be disappointed!

We chose Tim because his videos were the only videos we watched that showcased how fun the weddings were! We both said after watching multiple videos “I want to go to that wedding!!!”

His vibe matched us perfectly. He is so much fun and the work he creates is pure magic! He is so talented & creative while making everything fun and completely unobtrusive! He is kind and such an awesome bloke! Videography was Vetty’s only non-negotiable so she had to have the best, which we got. We’d book you over & over again.
